Privacy Policy
Cut Line is a private site run by Rees McDevitt for the members of two golf leagues. This is what it keeps about you, and why.
What we keep
- Your name, and the photo and team names you add.
- Your mobile number, which is how you sign in.
- Your picks and results, which make up the league's standings and history.
- Whether you've turned on alert texts (and when, and the wording you agreed to), and the texts sent to and from you.
- Sign-in sessions (a cookie in your browser) and an audit log of commissioner changes.
How it's used
To run the leagues: to sign you in with a texted code, show standings and picks, and, if you turn them on, send you league alert texts (about 5-15 texts a week during the season; message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help). Your phone number isn't shown to other members.
Sharing
We don't sell or rent your information. Mobile numbers and text opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
The site uses a few services to run, and they handle data only to provide them: Twilio (sends texts and sign-in codes), Vercel (hosting) and Neon (the database). Other members see what the league shows them: names, photos, team names, picks and results.
Your choices
Turn texts off any time by replying STOP or under Profile. Change your name, photo and team names under Profile. To have your account removed, ask the commissioner; your league results stay in the leagues' history.
